Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Triad - Frank Stella Inspiration
Release Date: February 22nd, 2020
The Yeezy 350 Intercontinental triad is soon approaching a late February 22nd release. There is no speculated release quantity at the moment. There has been a very secret time for confirmations on release dates in relation to Yeezy brand. This past All-Star weekend release of the 700 MNVM saw an estimated 5,00 pairs giving out at multiple locations around Chicago in a guerilla warfare style equipped with street-legal mini tanks and more.
The colors are a similar reference to post-painterly abstractionism and minimalist artist Frank Stella who garishly asserts tint, shade, line, color, and shape to garnish obscure stretched canvas pieces. Yeezy who also follows a similar reductive approach to contemporary minimalism which uses washed tones to create a similar mirror reflection to Stella’s choice in color-coding. The Earth colorway is the North American version which features a monochromatic rich warm brown color very different from the Citrin V2 and Oxford V1. Europe is receiving what many consider to be a counter to the Beluga and Beluga 2.0. This version comes in a steel bluish grey and a small hit of neon orange. The Asia and the Middle East will receive the most highly anticipated of the pack release, the Flax. It is indistinguishable in a variety of lighting sources. The piece is described to have a two-tone yellow and light grey to create the illusion of washed peach prime knit. The side stripe is washed shade of green-yellow. The back tag is a washed sea green. The sole is a translucent brown gel with light tan contrast strip and yellowish-green boost insert. This pack is a definite stocker for the archive as we see Yeezy brand quietly navigate the art world in contemporary fashion. If Adidas follow in the routine of the past intercontinental releases, they were very limited but still around 50,000 pairs a colorway.
